Background and Objectives:
My Weku (www.myweku.com) was borne out of a strong desire to:
• Unearth positive news, talent and inspirational figures across Africa.
• Provide a hub for discussing and celebrating “All Things African….”
My Weku is a première online resource for the review, analysis and promotion of African Culture in its entirety.
We:
• Scour the corners of Africa to provide authoritative insight into the arts, the literary world, business, technology, travel as well as provide overviews of cultural trends both within Africa and the African Diaspora.
• Provide a platform for talented Africans (wherever they may be) to share their achievements with a wider world and more importantly to serve as inspirational figures for others
• Provide our readers with the opportunity to network with others in our community section and to discuss pertinent issues of the day.
The Name, Strap line and Readership:
The name “My Weku” means “My Family” in an African language. Our strap line “All things African………..” denotes our aim of celebrating Africa across lots of areas.
Our readers are mainly African, people around the world who are connected to Africa regardless of race, country of origin or nationality and people who use MyWeku as a resource to learn about Africa

Content: The uniqueness of MyWeku in part comes from our aim to use only original content. Our feature articles are written by us, commissioned writers and more importantly by our readers. We prefer to use the Q and A format as a powerful tool in getting to know our interviewees better.
